afr in the UK - pt15 - Bad Sleep, DutchIndonesian Nannas and Singapore
So, singapore. Just got through the long leg of the flight - 12 hours!!! Some awkward sleeping. Made all the better by the dutchindonesian nanna sitting next to me. She's really nice and keeps giving me extra food each meal. We chatted about her experiences in Finland, her daughter just married a Fin. She was there for the wedding. About how the Fins apparently don't do fresh vegetables and get them all out of a tin and cover everything with overly rich sauces. Watched 'The Life Auqatic' or whatever its called with Bill Murray, which is actually really good.
Glad the long bit is over, another 10 hours (ugh!) and I'm back to cold wintery Melbourne, bah!
